Interestingly, when the spiders were attacked from behind by the Goblin’s ally, slashing their spandex and revealing nothing but a horde of spiders, they crawled up his mask and ended up decapitating him. The Spiders-Man wasn’t fully a villain as they have fought familiar villains such as the Green Goblin who entrapped Gwen. The spiders then masqueraded the city of Cruel York, this universe’s version of New York and called themselves the Spiders-Man after putting on a costume and fighting crime. In the process, the advanced spiders transformed into a singular hive-mind that absorbed Peter’s consciousness. Unfortunately for Earth-11580’s Peter, his canon event included falling into a massive radioactive spider colony that eventually devoured him alive. Once an intelligent and promising young man, Peter Parker was invited to this universe’s bleeding-edge tech company called Horizon Labs. When he was fully transformed, Patton lost his humanity and became a towering figure that looked closer to an actual spider. When Uncle Ted came home that night, he found his home in disarray and covered in cocoons while Patton crawled on the ceiling, uttering Spider-Man's iconic line with a messed up twist: “with great power comes a great appetite”. Awakening the next morning, Patton discovered an insatiable hunger and succumbed to his inherent arachnid instincts by consuming a live mouse and a cat, triggering a terrifying transformation within him. After being apprehended by security, he returned home to face an enraged Uncle Ted, who subjected him to yet another brutal beating. It was during their investigation that Patton encountered a massive red spider, which bit him. Unaware of Patton's psychotic tendencies, Sara sought his help to expose the sinister experiments conducted by Alcorp Industries. This traumatic upbringing shaped Patton into a deeply disturbed individual, developing macabre interests such as conducting experiments on animals and obsessively spying on his next-door neighbor, Sara Jane. Unlike our familiar Peter Parker, Patton's life took a dark turn as a troubled youngster, raised by his abusive uncle, Uncle Ted, following the tragic loss of his parents.
